Apryl Altman has been a Williamsburg resident since 1970. In 1993, Apryl began a business painting murals and faux finishes in residential homes and commercial spaces. She has done work extensively in Virginia, and as far away as Kentucky and Florida.
In 1997, Apryl began painting in watercolor with Ann Armstrong. After several workshops with numerous nationally known watercolor instructors, Apryl joined the Barclay Sheaks Art Group. Now known as the Williamsburg Studio Painters, she is again working with Ann Armstrong. Apryl has participated in several local and regional juried art shows.
Apryl enjoys painting the little slices of life that often go unnoticed as we move through the craziness of our daily lives. Watercolor is a wonderful medium for painting the smallest, most delicate flower to the mightiest human emotion.
